Overview

How do you recruit new art students using social media?

PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt needed an update for their marketing. Since I was a student there myself I teamed up with two of my fellow alumni to create a series of Instagram Ads. We wanted to reach and attract future art students. What we didn't want was the classic way of advertising that just told people to come visit the info days. Since the youth spends their time online watching funny videos, we wanted our ads to be exactly that. The concept was simple: every ad was an episode filled with cliches about art students and was narrated like a wildlife documentary. The look and feel was as if we were creating online content for gen Z.
